What it takes
Just a few moments ago I found out that Steve Jobs had passed away. And I broke down into tears as I sat in a San Francisco co-working space.
I never knew Steve.
I never met him.
But that didn’t stop me from crying or from feeling such an immense sense of loss and despair.
To cry for a man you never knew.
To sympathize with a family that lives hundreds of miles away, one of which you don’t even know their names.
That takes a certain type of person.
One who left a bit of their heart, vision and passion in everything they did.
So what does it take to have the entire world mourn over your passing?
It takes greatness.

Sad day indeed, but there’s much from his life to be celebrated.
I was similarly affected when Michael Jackson died. Still am, truth be told.
